ABOUT US
CHILD PROTECTION
The club has a number of members who have been DBS checked on behalf of GNAS (Grand National Archery Society - the sport’s governing body in the UK). These members will undertake teaching of children & vulnerable adults.
The club also has a dedicated Child Protection Officer, Jaine Whitford and an Assitant Child Protection Officer, Ron Milne. Again, both are DBS checked on behalf of GNAS
Every club member has the responsibility to report any incident that raises concern where a child or vulnerable adult is involved. This should be to the CPO in the first instance who will then take appropriate action. The CPO will deal with all reports IN CONFIDENCE.
Parents and guardians of children under the age of 16 should note that the club cannot supervise children and a parent / guardian must remain present throughout.
The club does not accept children under the age of 10 to undertake beginners courses or become members. Any child under the age of 10 attending a club shoot as a spectator must remain under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
